Very sorry for not keeping in touch more. We are well and truely open at our new shop on the corner of Wakefield and Tory St Wellington and so far we have been well recieved. The plywood over the front window hasn't fooled anyone - behind it there's a lot of hussle and bussle and general shoe la la going on.
Right now we are frantically loading photos onto the website to give our non local fans a look at our wares. This will take a couple of days and we're hoping that by the end of Monday most will be done.
Our shop is now located on the corner of Wakefield and Tory St Wellington. We have two quality shops on either side of us: on Tory St we have Cathy Davys hairdresser and day spa; on Wakefield St we have Alexandra Owen - a very clever local fashion designer who is rightfully gaining an appreciative following here in Wellington and nationally.
Last but by no means least we are situated within the Museum Hotel building. We are extremely happy about this as the hotel is a magnet for art loving individuals from all over the world. If you haven't had the pleasure of a night or two at the Museum Hotel I highly recommend that you do - it is a wonderful and uplifting experience.

Shoezies opening on the Friday the 3rd of Feb

Shoezies will be opening in Wellington on the 3rd of Feb 2012. The new shop will be on the corner of Wakefield and Tory St. It is part of the Museum Hotel building with most of the frontage on Wakefield St. We're very excited and hope to begin fitting out early Dec.
It's a great area - close to Te Papa - lots of parking - a stones throw from Courtney Pl and a short distance from Willis St and Lampton Quay. And the Museum Hotel is amazing! It is up there with the best Art Hotels in the world - the rooms are fabulous, the restaurant is very cool and the art is sensational .....and the foyer is a social event in itself. Great neighbours!
